Visakhapatnam: Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS), South Eastern Circle Brijesh Kumar Mishra on Tuesday conducted a thorough inspection of the newly constructed 2nd line between Jarati-Manabar stations. The10-km stretch forms part of the Kottavalasa- Kirandul doubling project in Waltair Division, East Coast Railway. Accompanying the CRS were Lalit Bohra, Divisional Railway Manager, Waltair, AG Srinivas, Chief Administrative Officer, KS Varma, Chief Signal & Telecom Engineer (Construction), Ashok Kumar, Chief Bridge Engineer; Akilesh Varma, Chief Signal Engineer, Gowri Shankar and other senior officers from Construction and Railways took part in the inspection. The section features 60 kg rails and two major bridges, constructed to conform to 25T axle load standards. The inspection concluded successfully, with speed trials passing without issues, leading to authorisation for full-fledged commissioning. This milestone reflects the dedicated efforts of the Civil Engineering, Construction, Signal & Telecom, and Electrical Departments in close coordination with Waltair Division's operations and traffic planning teams, according to K Pavan Kumar, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Waltair Division.
